Yeah, they bought Moto Mobility like a year ago, they've spent most of the time downsizing and rearranging I think and all the phones that have come out since then are ones that the OG Moto already had in the works. Now they have some Google peeps on the team to help them create something bamf, hopefully that works. DFW moto build quality with vanilla (or close to it) OS and whatnot. Bish better be unlockable though.

Yeah but you have internal memory for your OS/apps and then a 16gb card. The nexus devices have 8 or 16gb for everything. You end up with like 5gb usable space with an 6gb version.

8GB was gonna be $330 and 16GB cost me $383. That's with 6% tax, so you haz higher tax then it would be more. You are only left with like 5.5GB of free space on the 8 and 13.5GB on the 16.

Sitting on my desk next to my laptop. Went to unlock my phone and the screen didn't respond. Noticed the captivate buttons not on. Held power button for 10 seconds or how ever long.......nothing

Second attempt to long press power button to turn on or reboot. Worked.

Somehow it decided to turnoff by itself.

Phone was sitting with nothing running in background, over wifi.

After that it's fine. Working normal.

Franco has basically gone in an entirely different direction than the other devs as far as color tuning goes. Everyone else to my knowledge is using Faux' module setup. I use his "color accurate" setting and it's as close to 2.2 gamma across the board as anyone had been able to achieve.

The people complaining are just idiots. Android is changing and becoming WAY more popular so things won't be like they use to. Companies won't completely redesign phones every launch anymore. Especially a company as successful as Samsung.

and phones evolved quickly over the last couple years, the new ones were hella faster, bigger screens, bigger resolutions, etc, etc

But now they are all fast, all have nice screens, all have "gorilla glass", etc, etc. They all found the sweet spot of 4.5-5" by now. So they just make small changes to improve them from year to year and focus on software and "gimmicks" because that is all that's left essentially.

Why does everyone make such a huge deal about Sammy's phones being plastic? I'm sure it feels a little less "sturdy" but I imagine it keeps the weight down and makes them more shock resistant (brick hitting the ground vs plastic). I walked Bryant through rooting his S3 this weekend. Still couldn't get play store to work without a data wipe so he just wanted CM10.1 on it instead. He seems happy with it.

idk about the sg3 but keep in mind that a lot of root methods change as updates come out so if your phone is on the latest OTA, you may need a newer root method.

The LG is dual 1ghz, 1gb ram, qHD resolution, etc. Is a nice phone but doesn't compare to N4. I'd say its definitely worth $200 (or $150 when you consider the credit) if you don't want beast specs.

That was fairly easy. Gaybro at the kiosk was all like "yep, yo roaming is wack homie" and pulled out another micro sim for me. Now I have an actual micro sim instead of a cut down one. Roaming now works like it should.

Still on Xylon. Comes with decent colors already setup. Contrast or gamma seems a but off, can't see shit in sunlight. But it looks good otherwise lol

I'm pretty much stuck with stock rooted right now. The hsic wakelock fixes in every rom/kernel make the data drops unbearable on T-Mobile.
