I got in august, used for like 3-4 weeks or so, the dad used it for a like 2 weeks...so that was like mid-September/early-october...been in the original box ever since.

We both switched back to our blackberries, so it's not like it has been used the whole time I got it. We realized the touchscreen was not for us. Also, I realized I wasted lots of time with themes/ROMs/etc, rather than actually studying for school or other productive stuff. :roflpow: Let alone, I liked the way the BB did emails over Android.

I brought it back to school to give it another chance, but never got around to calling VZW to switch over the service again.

Dont think i will be keeping teh EVO, I like it but not enough to keep I dont think. I played with a Nexus S and its sexy as fuck, feels perfect in your hand. Tmo doesnt have 3G here tho which sucks but Im usually somewhere that has wifi. Tmo is also more than Sprint but slightly less than VZW.

Besides the 4G I don't see a reason to get it over my X. Plus no 4G here :emo: but for someone upgrading from another phone to a 4"+, it should compete with the X for the most part.

The D1 was 550mhz stock and that speed compared to a stock X is :eek2:

Optimus 2X is bigger but outputs 1080P to hdmi (including the homescreen and whatnot, not just media) and has a bigger screen and T2.

Both look like win.

Okay so from what I've seen from CES so far tells me the following:


- LG could be BAMF or pure fail depending on their UI, device construction, etc since no one has really had a high end phone from them before. With that said, they have a BAMF track record with dumbphones and apparently make some nice TVs and Monitors and other electronics so things be lookin good. :drool:

- Motorola is releasing some B A M F things. The Bionic looks like a fuckin beast (even if it isn't out til June) and the XOOM looks like 10.1" of sekz. I'm srs I wish it had a port to plug pen0r in. Wish I could get Bionic/XOOM in one pack for discount. Would sell X and soul to pay for it since XOOM will probably be $:eek2:$

- HTC kinda I am disappoint. :blah: they pretty much released slightly nicer Evos?

- Samsung... :shrug: Didn't really see much besides the Infuse on AT&T which looks nice enough but DNW AT&T.

But as far as tablets go, I really like that XOOM bish. I don't see needing to do much haxing on a tablet. I won't need to add hotspot or anything since it would be the receiver of wifi, I wouldn't need a theme with that sexy as fuck Honeycomb, etc. Root would be the only thing I'd need I think. I am waiting for that Vanilla Android dual-core like Mike talked about before or a dual-core 4.3" device on VZW, preferably non-motorola due to the locked bootloader. I will wait until battery tests and "real-life" tests are in to see how they are. As we all know the first round of anything always have some sort of quirks. This is more or less because RIM is falling way behind in there development of new devices for VZW.

I lol'd when billnewl (GMFS) was telling me they cracked the bootloader on the DX the other day. They never officially rooted the bootloader, just came close on everything.

welp, i am not longer a Droid 1 owner, got it sold tonight. someone bought it with my "buy it now" of $180, so after fees/s&h (offered it free with buy it now) and everything it'll come out to a net total of around $165.

i am extremely happy, just eBay and paypal can go fuck themselves for those fees.
