When I download it, and try to run it through Rom Manager it won't load, force restarts and then loads the normal 2.2. When I reopen Rom Manager I get "Recovery Failure": "Recovery mode is "broken", "Rom Manager doesn't reboot" and "other"

TITANIUM BACKUP

You run it once and tell it to backup all your apps and their data. Takes about 5 mins if you have a lot of shit. Then when you flash a new rom, you open it again and tell it to restore the apps/data. So then all you have to do is change system settings and whatnot, all of your apps and their settings will already be restored.

8:30 am - 100%
3:30 pm - 80%
(not sure what happened here....I used the phone maybe only 10 mins max)
5:30 pm - 60%
11:00 pm - 40%
11:30 pm - 30%

Currently typing this via EasyTether...charging via USB at 30%. Now given these results, there is no way this phone would last a normal working day, in the same settings, for a full-time job. I received maybe 2-3 emails, 20-30 texts, and the couple phone calls, otherwise the phone was left at my desk sitting in standby.

Tomorrow, I am going to do the same with only one difference.

:uhoh: nah, if vzw is having issues, that isn't out of the ordinary. When it happened to me, it went back and forth between 1x, 3g, no data, and something no signal AT ALL (just said NO SERVICE). I freaked out pero by the next day it was back to normal. :shrug:

I have a GMail account and 2 college accounts (1 being on the google/gmail server, the other not). When I get an email for the college email under the google server, it comes up both in my GMail account and the college-google account. Notifications for the email comes up for both emails.

Sapphire also has some themes and it doesnt need SetCPU in order to overclock. It has its own thing built into GEM settings.

Copy results to into something
Email to yourself

If you run this command in emulator it will save it to your SD card.

logcat > /sdcard/logfile.txt


Then email it to AnderWebs.

Well it is kinda like CM. It is meant to be a bamf stock-like rom. So it should have the volume keys that change songs, extra settings (Settings > Sapphire or something), etc but will look stock.

I think their site has links to themes that work with it. Not sure tho.

Yep, same as CM. It's just that with CM you can check the "Google Apps" box before you install the rom in rom manager. With non-CM roms you gotta do it separately.

I think they are actually inside Launcher.apk but I could be wrong. Copy the apk to your computer and open it with 7zip/winzip/etc and check it out.

Try out CM imo. You could also try a low voltage kernel. It won't be night and day changes in battery life but it couldn't hurt.

Get a D2 extended battery.
The lock/unlock doesn't work for me. :( plus, the music thing is annoying me bad because i listen to it when i go to bed and now i have to keep killing the music player with a task killer and restarting it :fp:

I converted everyone I know to Droids :cheeky: even non-smartphone peeps. When i got my BB, I converted bro/dad to bb. Then I got DROID and they both got one too. There is very little info leaked about the Moto so I'm not sure but I thought I remember seeing that it would be a 10" also, to compete with teh iPad

Downside is that the Moto one will probably be offered through Verizon so you'd need a plan or to pay a lot for retail and then just not activate it.

Well and it is weird cuz Google doesn't allow the market and a lot of other Google apps to be shipped on a device that doesn't have 3G or that has a different resolution than they support. So the Archos 10 won't have the normal market and some other things. Someone will prob hax it on there eventually though.

The Moto will have everything that our phones do and will probably be built nicer, I love Motos build quality. But DNW to pay lots of $$$$

Same here. I'd really want it but no way I am paying for a plan on it. I want a tablet to take notes, play games, browse while sitting for long periods, etc. I don't need 3G for that. It is definitely a good deal and I agree about the apps, not a big deal. I think I'll wait though, there are LOTS of manufacturers preparing tablets. I'm interested to see what all is out by christmas.

Once the retail price of the Samsung Tab is released that will give you a general idea of what Moto is gonna price theirs at. I honestly don't see it being as cheap as the Archos. A quick Google search turned up that the Archos 7 has been rooted and gapps installed so I'm sure the 10 eventually will too.

New Samsung chip sounds beast.

Samsung's Hummingbird is a great System On a Chip. With a GPU 3x faster than the Snapdragon, and a speedy Cortex A8 CPU core, it sure flies!. Samsung has introduced the Orion into the Android game. Orion will be a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor with “5 times the 3D graphics performance." Samsung also added: "Orion will feature an embedded GPS, 1080p video encoding and decoding at 30fps, triple display controller and an on-chip HDMI 1.3a interface. To optimize the performance of the CPU, we at Samsung included a few bonuses as well such as a 1MB L2 cache and support for DDR3 memory." Very impressive specs coming out of Samsung on their latest device.
Samsung should be releasing this new device to select customers by year's end and will start mass producing sometime in 2011. Samsung said that the Orion will have the same to better graphic processing power as the Xbox and PS3. All I can say is I may be one of the first to be inline to check this new device out.

You could try Locale. I think it lets you do that, but I'm not sure, it might only do it by location (so when it sees that you are in/around work it puts it to vibe, around home sets it to loud, etc, etc).
