Jay, I don't know if either of us mentioned it but you need to update your recovery. Flashing the newest TWRP using the goo app is the easiest way.

i used the "wipe all" to install aokp and it was super easy. takes you step by step each wipe then takes you direct to the choose zip to flash screen.

i have something I can't figure out. Nothing major, just annoying.
I know the stock keyboard that comes with AOKP has swype.
I liked the Jellybean keyboard I d/l yesterday b/c it has the punctuation shortuts on each key (longpress Z for !). I have set the JB keyboard as default. Each time I click in a text box to type, mainly in handcent, it brings up "Choose input Method" in the info bar. if I set the default to Stock Android it doesn't do that. WTF?

Yeah I see it too. In 4.1 AOKP you could disable that notification but it doesn't look like they've added it to 4.2 yet. The symbols are nice though, going to use this keyboard now lol

aoskp is the same as aokp plus a few cherry picks from gerrit that fits adds to the builds.

so yeah, the aoskp will be more up to date (use any widget on your lockscreen for example)

The transparent statusbar/navbar is kinda buggy as to when it shows up but when it does it looks nice.

As for transparency, there is the availability to have transparency on the navbar and the statusbar but only on the homescreen. First and foremost you have to be using a compatible launcher, the ones that are verified to work as of right now are the stock launcher, apex launcher and holo launcher, NOVA LAUNCHER DOES NOT WORK. (the developer for nova has pretty much refused to take the advice of his customers and fix the homescreen background bug that is in his rom.)

I dont think anyone has looked into it to be honest. The camera app doesnt even show up though and when you try to open an app that uses a cam it just gives an error that it cant connect.

Yeah. Menu > Clock Hack (Root) will remove the bolded hour. But it also disables the DeskClock's digital clock widget.

i didn't see any 16gb 4's over $300 but I did see a few listed right at 300. You could put it up for $300 but I'd expect people to offer less. You could probably get around $250.

Eddeh, just so you know, Unlocking will wipe everything on your phone. That includes internal memory, apps, etc. COMPLETE WIPE.

So, the easiest way to unlock and flash a rom on the GNex will probably be the Wugfresh Toolkit. It looks like this:

You should just hit the Change button on the left and set it to CDMA/LTE GNex and whatever version of Android your phone has on it (Settings > About Phone). Then click the Driver Guide button and get those bitches installed. Then you should be able to just hit Unlock and let it do its thing, you may have to follow some directions that pop up. Not sure, I did it manually.

After the unlock is done, let us know and we'll get you links to a touch recovery and the rom we're using.

Its like a thick screen protector but there are pieces for the whole phone. One for the screen, one for the battery door, and a few that go around the sides. Protects from scratches and scuffs and you can peel it off if it gets fucked up.

Bad thing I noticed was the GNex's textured door looks kinda like dick with a skin stuck to it. Rest of the phone looks good though.
