I would just start over honestly, market should auto restore your apps.

You can run unrevoked on the latest OTA so you can always put it to stock and run it again.

Bootstrap isnt like clockworkmod?

Its kind of like a temp recovery, so if you flash a ROM that formats your system and it doesnt boot you are screwed, you have to sbf. Just make sure to bootstrap before doing any mods at any point just to be safe.

Eddie - I am thinking about selling my D1 and accessories, let me know if you are still interested. I would rather to have someone be using it rather than it sitting in the box on my dresser. I can get pictures if needed. The only wear on the device, is the usual "gold" covering on the camera button flaked off; this appears to be a common problem. :shrug:

Be forewarned, its rooted already and, IIRC, has CM6 RC1 or 2 on it. I have not used the device or activated it using this ROM. Only installed it to see what it looks like.

You can run a stock ROM and still be rooted that way you can take screenshots, block ads and what not.

5. Open RSD Lite and find the UNZIPPED SBF
6. Put your Motorola Droid into bootloader.

Chris - OG D1 has been factory reset, so it will be exactly like if you bought one from VZW. The only difference is it should be rooted on CM6 RC4 after the process of entering your email (gmail accout) and such.

I would upload my RSDLite, but I only have 4.6 on my computer.

You can run a stock ROM and still be rooted that way you can take screenshots, block ads and what not.

The phone is still rooted, just shows the opening screen as if its an unrooted D1...so you will use your current gmail account on the phone for transferring contacts/emails/etc.

RSDLite is a computer program that flashes the Motorola Stock Android OS on to the D1.

Put all your contacts into Gmail and when you sign into the phone they will automatically sync.

Go to http://www.google.com/contacts and put all your contacts in there. When you first enter your gmail in your phone it will pull them to the phone. Also any that you add in the future via phone will sync up to the web.

So if you stick to Android phones from now on, you'll never have to enter your contacts again.

Blake, the hotspot app allows game systems, phones and other devices that don't support ad-hoc to connect. Wifi tether is ad-hoc only, which is fine for computers to connect to.

Rofl the otterbox on my D1 was silicone inside and hard outside and had covers for all ports. It was really nice but hella bulky. I am much happier with my TPU.
