So do I want a G2, S4, N5, or Note3? :chin: I doubt the S5 will be out by then and idk if I want to wait any longer.

N5: cheapest, bloat free, on-screen nav buttons, lowest res camera, lcd screen, smallest battery
G2: biggest screen besides n3, second biggest battery (besides n3), lcd screen, rear vol/power buttons
S4: case options, sd slot, super amoled, slightly lower processor/gpu
N3: biggest screen, biggest battery, 3gb ram, sd slot, super ambled, most expensive

all: 1080p, quad core (all have same processor/gpu except s4), 2gb ram (except n3)

At TMo they are all $0 down but I put them in order of how much they cost per month (N5 = $16.50, N3 = $29.50)...

I'm leaning towards the G2 for some reason. It's second to cheapest, has the biggest screen/battery out of the three "smaller" phones, and Hayz liked it quite a bit.

But the N3 is so beast and the S4 has so many case options.

I think all of them should have decent developer support since they're all unlockable so that shouldn't matter much. :hmm:

Yeah I thought about it. It does look like a nice phone but even though it is an upgrade from my gnex, I probably won't get another phone for another two years so I wanted to get something a little more beast.

the MotoX is 720p, 4.7", dual core, etc.

It is faster than my GNex (processor and ram) but only by a bit. The other ones on the list have bigger screens, higher resolutions, double the processor cores, bigger batteries, etc.

I was secretly hoping that they'd release a beast status GoogleMoto before my upgrade but I highly doubt that now.

I almost went the N3 route, beautiful phone and BIG. I liked it up until I noticed 2 things. I put it in my pocket and it was just to the point of almost coming out the top of it, i just wasnt comfortable with that because I felt like that left an opening for it to slide itself out when moving up and down like sitting and such. Also the ability to 1 hand the N3 is pretty difficult, even with large mitts like mine which I did not like.

Yeah I've thought of the pocket thing. Most of my shorts have a "tech pocket" on the side where I put my GNex. It keeps it safe from me sitting on it and whatnot. I doubt a Note would fit in that spot. :chin: I've seen Rogers Note3 and its pretty damned sexy but idk if I really need dat girth lol

So have been having issues with my S4 @ work and around town. I randomly cannot make calls but can receive them yet no one hears me and it also constantly drops calls. It was aalso going into roaming for some reason. 2.5 weeks ago I was given a new SIM. Now I go to VZ store and talk to them about the issues still happening. I work 1mi away from store and we are divided by the Interstate. Apparently there are 2 towers on west side of interstate where store is and none on east side where I am. They tell me the towers are unable to handle the amount of calls in the area now and the town on the east side of the interstate where I work wont allow cell towers. So WTF does that do for me and my service? My Iphone worked better than the S4 so we went through the battery pull routine yadda yadda. They tell me I likely have a bad antenna in the phone. Why do I seem to never have good luck with Samsung/Droids :nono:

I was able to make/receive calls and use iPhone when I was at work, and that was last month before I traded it in. Wifey's 4s is doing just fine still and we work on same area. I checked updates and according to what it says it is all up to date. VZ warrantied my phone and said I will have a new one sent to my house. Hopefully its just something internal that is broken, if not I am going to be highly disappointed if I get same results with new phone.

I'm really leaning towards an LG for my next phone. Peeps seem to like their G2s and Nexus 4/5s so :shrug: The G Pro 2 looks like it's going to be a beast.

Note 3 has 1/2" more screen (also no navbar), 1gb more ram, sd slot, 200mah more battery.

G2 has navbar (which I prefer) and is more one-hand friendly while still being big.

Don't really care about the sd slot, they are both 32gb so i'll probably never need it. The 200mAh increase isn't really that much. An extra gig of ram is nice though.

I've checked XDA for the G2 and there are a decent amount of roms (already on 4.4 even though stock is 4.2) including CM11, AOKP, Slim, etc. I'm pretty sure there are Xposed goodies to use with stock also, I saw peeps on reddit talking about it.

Need to check for Note3. I'm going to guess that the N3 will have a little more dev support.

I'm sure I'd get used to the size so the only "down side" is that the power/headphones aren't on the same end. I hated that on my Droid X, loved having them both on the bottom on my GNex and wifeys fassy, made it so much easier in the car with AUX cable and power plugged in.

Well wife's x was a fail. I couldn't get stock recovery to flash it kept have an error failed to hab check 0x56. So I froze the ota apps and installed xposed to get her tethering back. Idk why the recovery wouldn't flash I tried manually and rsd.

I was getting scared of Knox (Samsung's counter in the bootloader that shows if you've flashed a recovery and voids your warranty) but I've been reading that people have had warranty repairs done by Samsung w/ Knox tripped, they've had replacements given to them by TMo with Knox tripped, and they've traded them in to JUMP with it tripped. I think I'll be fine. :jester:

Well it wasn't really a prank, he just wanted to get the view/likes by showing everyone a phone that no one has yet. These leaks aren't that out of the ordinary but he fucked up by showing all the phones information (on the back) and his name/location and whatnot. Friday i was able.to use find my iPhone to get an address of where it was last located. Well that turned up as a dead end.
Yesterday, we asked kid who lived AF said address and he gave us a clue as to who it may be.

So I contacted Verizon yesterday And they helped me get a list of the last calla placed up until the time I locked it down via the Icloud app.

We called the numbers and one was another student in the high school. They talked for 36 mins Thurs night.
So she was called in and questioned. Then he was and he finally confessed. Called his aunt and had her locate it and bring it to the school.
Law enforcement was contacted and charges will be pressed.

Kid had erased all my contacts and replaced with his, cleared my email settings, basically erased all my.info off it... And took selfies with it which are still there BC I was able to lock it remotely lol.

But Linux takes very little market share away from MS. Android on the other hand is beating Windows Phone's ass. That's why MS was aggressive (see licensing bullshit HTC and others have to pay to MS in order to use Android). I think they're just starting to realize that WP won't be beating Android any time soon (or ever) so they might as well get their OS thrown on with Android devices.

I wouldn't buy a Windows Phone because nothing I've seen makes me think I'd like it over Android. There aren't many apps, the interface is weird, etc. But if I could dual-boot Android/Windows on my phone, I'd definitely do it. Partially to play around and partially to give WP a shot without having to use it exclusively.

It is running 4.4.2. Im going to roll stock for a while to make sure the hardwares all good and then ill probably root it (will trip Knox). I want my long-press to change tracks back and dnw some of the bloat apps.

Have any of you noticed that your phone won't pick up wifi when you get near even though the access point is saved already? I noticed this on my GNex w/ CM11 and now on my N3 with stock 4.4.2.

When I get home (or to work) I need to open wifi settings and then it sees the access point and joins it. Wifi is on the whole time, it just doesn't check for wifi until I open settings. :think:

since Device Frame Generator doesn't have a Note3 frame, I was trying to find another app to do the same thing. I found Screen Maker but it makes the screenshot into ass quality and isn't transparent (around the phone):

There's a strip of some sort of rubber (the orange lines around teh phone in the first pic) around the edge to help absorb shock in a fall. It feels pretty safe but damn it's wide :jester:
