Close but the Nexus has a higher resolution (720p), a super fast camera (0 shutter lag), removable battery, is unlockable, comes with stock android (no blur and no bloat), gets updated more often than the RAZR will, will get more dev attention than the RAZR, etc.

They are both dual 1.2ghz with a gig of ram, both cameras record 1080p video, etc, etc. so yeah pretty close.

Nexus has a 5mp camera instead of an 8mp but that doesn't matter. The Nexus camera should actually be nicer.

Did an equip swap and just had to order batteries. VZw will find a way to stick it to you any way they can, they wanted $39.99 a battery x2 and also battery doors. I got the doors from them for $3 ea. however I said FTS to the batteries and went online and I just ordered 2 brand new ones from Amazon for an astounding $11.34 :)

Looking forward to hopefully having a good functioning phone that I do not have to worry about locking up, dropping calls, having to pull the battery every other day or just shutting down when it feels like.

I had a commuter on my D1 and it was really nice but bulky. I think TPUs are the perfect balance between being low profile but still protective. Plus they are only like $8 shipped on eBay.

But if you don't mind making your nice sexy thin DX fatter then a commuter is a nice case.

I've never had problems with protectors. :shrug:

Wipe the screen with microfiber cloth, get protector out quickly and set it in place. Pull back one edge, set it and press it on with a credit card as you pull back the plastic layer.

I had to buy the back door which was on sale for $3-, then batteries which I scored on Amazon for $5.34 ea opposed to $39.99 thru VZw, and they shipped this morning. Then lady tells me shipping for 2 day is free instead of paying $12.99 for next day, I'll take that. Then she tells me I have a $50- credit and a $30- credit on my next phone purchase if I renew my contract in Nov next year instead of doing early upgrade in July next year, sure I'll wait. The phone call may have been an hour and a half but it was worth the time I guess :roflshrug:

Yeah. Still TW. Can't get enough free time to figure out the current status of CM and all that goes with it. And it seems like a lot of the devs have bailed on the fascinate. Not that I blame them sometimes. Lack of manufacturer support has killed this thing.

Right now it's fully functional and the battery issues have been sorted out. It's about the same as TW-based stuff now.

Most of the devs have switched to AOSP stuff. There's the CM nightlies, one dev has a Vanilla GB rom and another has the AOSP version of ComRom basically. Then there's MIUI. Still lots of development going on, just not with TW stuff.

Yea, ODIN the "fixed CWM4 for CM7" that's in the OP and flash CM, then flash GAPPS. I recommend flashing the glitch kernel too. Mash better colors.

The source code isn't released yet so any ICS roms so far are hacked up from the SDK. Once Google releases the source, devs will probably set it up for lots of phones.

Yea, might want to wipe data and reflash. Since the entire filesystem is converted you can't restore data without problems. Odin the EC09 radio if you're having call issues. It came from the original gingerbread leak and works best with AOSP.

Try MyBackup. It should be free in the market. You can tell it to backup apps, their data, SMS, etc and then restore them to the new phone.

While I'm at the store, I'm going to push for a bionic since they are the ones that suggested it to me. They said the ONLY phone I can get is the revo b/c it was the only other 4g phone offered that was comparable to the TB at time of purchase. if I downgrade to 3g, I'll never be able to get another 4g phone as a replacement.

I bet I know what happened. Sometimes when you first start up a phone and log in, the google sync will sync all your previously installed apps as well as your contacts and shit all at once. It has locked up my phone before. Sometimes leaving it sit will give it time to catch up but FTS I just pull the batt and install everything myself.

Honestly you don't need a keyboard. They make the phone thicker, heavier, and most people end up never using them, that's why most phones don't have them.

If you absolutely must have a keyboard then the D3 will be great. But if you can live without it then the best new non-4g phones on vzw are the DX2 and Inc2. Inc2 is more haxxable, DX2 has a bigger screen and probably better battery life and build quality.

Its already been discussed with him, and planning on rooting/romming/kerneling the DInc2 over Thanksgiving or semester break.

I just have to read the guides to do it, and download the programs like you previously posted for rooting the device.
