It wasn't the theme it was Launcher Pro. Go to LP Settings then Homescreen Settings and you will see how to set it up.

The main things I like better than the Inc are the screen size and physical buttons. Otherwise its a cool phone.

Just FYI, Performance governor uses LESS battery than OnDemand does. A good analogy: driving a car on the freeway uses less gas than in the "stop and go" city.

Another fun fact: idle at 1.2ghz uses the exact same cpu cycles and battery life as idle at 125mhz.



You're totally wrong. The reason a car on the highway gets good gas mileage is cause it usually goes at a constant speed, and uses a much higher gear ratio, thus having low rpm's. You can pretty much make a direct comparison between rpm's (revolutions per minute) and a cpu's clock speed (cyles per second). They both consume more resources, and generate more heat at higher rpm's and MHz.

If you want to get more technical, calculate the power used by the process are various speeds, assuming the voltage is the same. The more cycles per second (MHz) the more power you are using. That is a fact

I don't have formula's offhand, but here's a simple CPU power calculator that I just found Overclocked CPU Wattage Calculator Since we don't know too many specifics of the CPU offhand, just plug in 1 for power and default voltages. put in 550 and 1000 for regular, and overclocked, and see how much more power you use. almost double.

Under load, yes it consumes more power. Read my post again, I am talking about idle time, which is what our device is doing most of the time; idling. Ondemand uses just as much power under loads as performance. Same for idle speeds. The saved power comes from NOT having to use CPU cycles to switch scales multiple times per day. Performance is on a constant scale. Ondemand constantly switches around, using more cpu cycles, which uses more power.

You can if you want to but I honestly find CM to be more stable than stock. Plus it has other little things like more settings in the Messages app, hold volume keys to change tracks while phone is asleep, and a lot of other options that stock doesn't have, and other changes/tweaks to make things faster. With the new CM you can even change the color of the text on your notification bar/menu, remove the time/batter from the bar, etc.

But it is up to you, you can roll stock with an OC kernel if you want.

Grab the latest CM nightly. I saw the change log and there are A LOT of nice features. Especially in the camera.
