I'm gonna have to try a new rom. Lately my browser sucks ass. It wont let me press buttons on sites (such as the search button on google...) and sometimes just refuses to fully load a page, even on wifi. So FTS I'm gonna try to flash something else soon. Not sure what though.

There's a lot out there comparing the 2 devices but Juan pretty much covered everything. The D2 is also being discontinued for the Droid Global I believe.

The gray version is too light, looks fgtry. Put the normal one back on.

Im not sure where the messages are stored but it isn't in the app because if you install handcdnt, chomp, etc they all see re messages. The X txt app may have blur requirements but it won't hurt to try imo. I'll try to upload the apk later if I get a chance.

Most peeps are like that. It starts with a home replacement, then you'll "just root" and then a while later you'll be overclocked, themed, and running a rom. :jester:

Once you get a custom recovery in place and make a good backup it is fairly hard to screw up your phone beyond repair. Even if you Fuck up the recovery, there is an SBF file that puts it 100% back to stock.

It still takes a little tine to work up the courage to dive in but it didn't take me long lol. Shit, Mike probably rooted his N1 the first day :rofl2:

make a backup then load an old backup where the wireless worked. If wireless still doesn't work, wifi hardware be dead :uhoh: if it works then it's a rom/kernel/etc issue.

Its a system app so make sure to set the permissions correctly on the X app. You also wont lose messages, I deleted all my messaging apps one time and they were still there after I installed the new one.

So I've been really happy with Blurry 1.0 so far. I've never used Exchange Email before but at work they just changed systems so I am setting it up with Corporate Sync and everything works good except for syncing Contacts. So I look it up and:

The only time I had that problem is when I used Rubix blurry 1.0. If all your settings are right and you did a battery pull once or twice, I would do a factory reset and start over.

Yeah I noticed that. It is still cheaper than anywhere I've found local. The best deal I've found local is a place with computer parts. They want $12 for a 6ft black HDMI cable. They are generically packaged, probably from monoprice. Even after shipping, mono is cheaper. :shrug: and Walmart/BB/etc charge fucktons for HDMI stuff :nono:

Battery manager works for me. Its a toss up on most ROMs tho. Try clearing data for it in settings.

ROMs that are most stock are SSX and FlyX.

I think it might be underclocked but not sure. Does it use the same processor as the myTouch 4G? If so kmobs said it would probably be able to be overclocked to 1.4 or so.

i just updated angry birds..

also went back to my previous update and found a way using terminal emulator to redo something..either way I have to reflash the stock kernel , but everytime I do that it wont fuckin boot. Stays at the damn Motorola logo screen.

Also saw where 98% of my system capacity is used up. IS that normal?

Anyway, heres the instructions I used.


The wifi error is common, your system partition is probably too full for the module, and when flashing a new kernel the wlan.ko module is last and largest and sometimes if full it isn't pushed properly. This can be solved with a little relocation of some files.

open terminal emulator while you're booted and input these lines:

su
mount -o remount,rw /system
mv /system/media/bootanimation.zip /data/local
df -h

the df -h will bring up a partition list and the amount of space free in each one. As long as /system had at least 1.5-2mb free you can now type in terminal:

reboot recovery

Flash the cm6 stock kernel again and the wifi module should be installed correctly now.

Its his homescreen. Launcher pro with text icons, beautiful widgets for the weather and dclock for the clock/date widget. The theme is GalaX, I doubt someone has ported it to CM yet.

there are other minimal clocks you can try too. TypoClock, SiMi Clock, Clockr, D-Clock, Digital Clock Widget, Tajm.

and D-Clock isn't the same as the dclock you just got.

Shadow went a different direction so stopped support on the current rom and sapphire is pretty plain.

Stock kernel is 800 which kinda sucks on the D1 imo, after having it at 1ghz, i couldn't stand to use it slower. Glad my X is that fast stock :cheeky:

I'm on 6.1 with a 1200 kernel. Rom manager premium has a "j3droid" or whatever can't remember the name, but look for the subtitle that says "kernels for any rom"
