I don't have a Vista/W7 comp, what exactly does the "Update Driver" window say? On XP you choose "Install from a specific location" and then "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install." Then "Have Disk.." then "Browse" then choose that folder you extracted earlier.

1. Unlock Your Bootloader (From MoDaCo)
2. Install Amon_RA's Recovery Image (From Amon_RA)
3. Install MoDaCo ROM, and copy it to your SD card
4. Select 'nandroid backup' from the menu to do a backup
5. Install MoDaCo ROM to N1

Cez maybe you are rooted but that method doesn't install superuser. Install superuser then go to the market and download ROM manager.

Not too familiar with N1, but you should have a recovery console right? If so choose "wipe data/factory reset" to at least boot it up to where you can add a different ROM onto the SD card.

On a side note, my wife's D1 randomly froze last night and refused to boot back up (looping boot animation). I made a backup and it was saved as "1970-01-01.55.55.55". Fucking phone thought it was in 1970.... wiped data and it booted up and kept freezing. No idea what happened because she doesn't do anything that would cause shit to hit the fan.

Oh well, wiped the fucker and flashed UD eXtreme Froyo 3.5.0 since James recommended it.

Not sure, they may use stock methods but I have no idea. Smart KB is multitouch if that matters to you. SKB has a few built-in skins and Better KB has a lot of skins in the market. If skinning it matters to you.

You install apk files using a file manager like Linda File Manager or Astro or something.

- Install Linda File Manager from the market
- Use it to go to your sdcard and open the apk
- Choose Install
- Might need to "allow non-market apps"
- Done.

I hate the "glass" themes, they look cheesy and cheap to me. Everyone seems to love them tho and its about all I can ever find. Hopefully once CM6 final is released more themes will follow.

Yeah at first I didn't mind smoked glass because it was all there was. Now I can't stand it. NexTheme is nice or just something simple and clean like JRummys themes. I actually like the theme UD has. It is a kang combo of DarkEdge, NexTheme, and a couple others.

My Argyle case just came in the mail. Shits legit. Easy to remove but at the same time, holds onto the phone really well and isn't all thin and shitty like some silicone cases. Can't even really notice the argyle pattern either, its really subtle. Like it :D

Someone created a "grey bar" theme for the X. It's much better than the white bar but still has some cheeziness to it that I don't like. Plus, if I try to apply it and somehow fuck up, my phone will go into a bootloop and there is currently NO way to recover from that. They don't have a working sbf file and there is no recovery since the BL is still locked. So fuck that shit, I'll wait patiently with my ugly white bar. :jester:

Yeah HTC IME is nice but I agree, it feels cramped. As far as the bar, I don't know. Didn't the old 1.5 have a black bar? I thought it did.. then in 1.6 and up they went white for some reason. Don't like it...

If it were even true who the fuck holds their phone the way they were holding it to replicate the signal loss on the different devices. Apple was just stupid enough to put the iPhone 4 antenna in the wrong spot.

Exactly. I can see why they wanted the antenna outside but there is a reason no one does that... if you touch it with your hand, it'll fuck up lol

And yeah, to mess with other phones you have to wrap your hand all over it and hold it tight and shit. No one holds it like that...
