Nope. There are a couple people working on separate builds. One boots but doesn't charge, colors are fucked, no 3g, wifi sees networks but wont connect, etc. AKA useless :rofl2:... he is working on it but been busy with school.

The other I'm not sure about. I follow the dude on twitter but he rarely tweets. Need to find moar infos.

It will detect the MIUI folder on your SD card and import any lockscreen themes you already had, and presto.

Some white versions are sexy. Not sure about that one. If the backplate was white it would look more complete. Maybe even the area around the camera. But in it's current state it looks half-assed to me.

There are only a select few phones in white that are done correctly. Most phones are just the back casing and the screen is still black, looks best with the entire phone is white.

I don't mind when the glass is still black, as long as the lip around the glass and whatnot are all white. The Fassy looks good to me.

The Strat was pearl white on the back and sides of the bottom half (keyboard slider remember) but the bezel around the top half was chrome. Didn't look too bad but if it was all white (and not pearl) it would have been fairly sexy.

There is no white whatsoever on the top half of the phone. Only around the keyboard half. The pics also make it look more white and less pearl. If it was actual white and the chrome was white, it would have been sexy.

The ICS still isn't fully usable but much farther along than the other one that's available.

All hardware buttons
Charging
USB (including SD mounting)
It's fast!

Something I'd like to see is the dark gradient under "Settings" to be whitish, with black text. (a la MIUI) It'd brighten up the UI and look a little better. It's JMHO, but it would help drastically.

I have been upgrading slowly. D1 dock had no connectors, had to plug in cig lighter and audio every time. DX has power in the dock but have to connect audio every time. GNex dock has both integrated, BAMF.

Note: The dock that VZW sells has NEITHER integrated. You have to get the OEM sammy one linked above. According to that site, it should fit the VZW version.

It being a Nexus is all it really has going for it. Been unplugged for 2.5 hours and already down to 32%

Well yeah, put it next to the Rezound or a RAZR and the Nexus part is what makes it shine since they all have similar processors and screens and whatnot.

Every manufacturer is constantly releasing new shit and hardware (except for batteries) has come so far that they are all fast with decent cameras and screens now. So there really isn't much left to make a phone stand out from others.

The fact that the GNex has a 4.6" 720p screen, a super fast camera, and no OEM rape on top of a nice processor, LTE, etc makes it better than the other offerings :imo

Hopefully VZW gets the Galaxy S III, it will be nice to be able to have the option to run TW. Screen is only so big on the GNex because of the soft keys, which never go away.

Yeah it's about 4.3" without the softkey part. They go away during movies and the camera and shit don't they?

I don't know if it's an older version or what but I don't really like TW on my wifes Stratosphere. It is smooth and whatnot but I find it to be pretty ugly. Too many bright colors thrown randomly, like the green pull-down or the green and orange dialer lol. But other than colors, it runs nice enough.

Stratus doesn't have the nice TW, only the GSII does. The space for the soft keys is still there when you use the camera, haven't tried watching a movie or anything though.

Ah okay. Well like I said, the Strats TW seems to be stable, fast, and have everything that my wife needs. It is just kinda ugly. Even the styling of things is okay, it's just the damn green/orange they threw everywhere.

TW4 is badass. It was ported to le Fascinate from the GSII.

I repartitioned and flashed back to CM7 tonight, probably going to stick here or with TW from now on. Unless the CM guys make major changes to the UI I just can't see myself ever liking vanilla ICS. It's just so ugly. I went to the beach today and had the hardest time seeing how much signal I had and reading text even with the brightness to the max. I wonder if any thought was given to the fact the blue spectrum is the single hardest color for the human eye to pick up? I know I'm nitpicking, but it's really a pain. The same goes for a light grey menu font with a dark gradient background, it's a pain to see anything.

On another note, I stopped by the Verizon store today (with the fascinate still running ics) and played with a Nexus. It's definitely fast and generally BAMF. Maybe I can afford one in a year. :rofl2:

Lol, it's whatever. Gb and froyo were both meh, I only prefer gb for the functionality. I'm not alone in my "wtf why tron blue" thought though. Just because it may look "clean" doesn't mean it's practical. I've tried for the last 3 days to get used to it, and I've only gotten more frustrated anytime I'm outdoors. For the record though:

Lol, to each his own. I have a habit of occasionally glancing at the phone to check signal, etc when I'm walking in the woods to make sure I'm not roaming and killing the battery. I got pissed enough today to just turn the damn thing off because I couldn't see the signal bars. Granted I was also at the beach and in bright sunshine lol.

Honestly I love everything else about ics though. The menus are laid out well and the messaging app is nice since they revised it after the initial builds. Someone just needs to figure out how to theme the OS and make a white or green theme. :p

Went back to Verizon store this morning. Greeting lady told me I wouldn't be able to get phone, because I ordered it and I would have eligibility pending. She said it wouldn't be able to be changed if I had it ordered already, even tho it hadn't been shipped yet. I had her sign me in so they could double check anyway. Went over to the Gnex, used it to get le # to LetsTalk.com, called them, cancelled my order, talked to sales rep and walked out with a Gnex 10 minutes later. :bishplz:

Ban Mike for "hum-bug" syndrome imo

I think mine has good battery life. I have yet to fully charge the extended battery, but it seemed to do good with it being idle from 11am til 7pm and then I played with it for maybe 30 minutes before the 15% pop-up came up. Take in to consideration I didn't charge it at all from the get go and it was at maybe half battery (can't recall)?

Mine has been decent. Haven't had a good test yet. I was in a sucky area yesterday so it didn't do well today should be better. You would think Aberdeen proving grounds would have good signal. No 3g at all.

One of the ICS builds for DX just got radio and gps working :megusta:

Everyone who has tried his first build without those things say its fast and sexy. Has a few little bugs but he wanted to get radio and gps going first.

Might flash his second build after he releases it. Probably won't keep it if its buggy but DFW to at least taste le ICS on DX.

Flashed a beta miui v4 and holy shit, it's awesome. Aside from the bugs in the port. Compared to stock ics it's not even close performance wise, must be the hardware rendering. It's still a piece of Communist Chinese bullshit but it is pretty. :cheeky:

So, how useful would an ATT nexus s be in an area where there's only Edge coverage? The nearest town with 3G is 40 miles away. I met a guy today that would trade his for my Fascinate. He switched from att to Verizon and has the phone still, just isn't using it. Currently has an Incredible.

Depending on the area ATT edge might be just as fast as VZW 3G.

Vzw 3G here is 1.5-2.5mbps, even during peak hours. Att will be the same unless you're talking about HSPA+ which is what gives some people 3-5mbps. Gotta have a "4g" phone though. It's only available in two cities in the entire state here. Lol

So there are 3 peeps working on separate ICS builds. One is CVPCS. He is the one who figured out 2nd init (how we run roms) and was the first to get CM7 working. But he hasn't said anything recently. Which doesn't mean he hasn't been working on it, he usually is quiet for a long time then drops some good stuffs or at least info.

The second guy hasn't done much. It boots but thats about it rofl.

Third guy is most promising so far. Just released his second build:

What works:
- Radio (including 3G + calls)
- Bluetooth
- GPS
- 2D (hardware accelerated!) & 3D (kinda buggy)
- Wifi
- Sensors (including rotation/accelerometer)
- Audio (DSP force closes rarely, but still works)
- SD Card
- All hardware buttons
- Charging
- USB
- It's fast!

What doesn't:
- Camera
- Voice Input
- MMS
- Possibly more.

No camera and MMS kinda sucks but DFW to try it out. Also, I think most ICS builds so far don't have working cameras. At least no Motos that I know of.

I noticed a little bit. Not much though. I switched back to the "Ring" lock for some reason but I don't remember why :jester: I didn't uninstall MiLocker though. I think I switched just to play with the CM lockscreen settings.

Hate the stock look of the CM lockscreens though. And I don't feel like morphing/flashing to change that so I'll probably end up back on MiLocker or WidgetLocker or something.

I have been upgrading slowly. D1 dock had no connectors, had to plug in cig lighter and audio every time. DX has power in the dock but have to connect audio every time. GNex dock has both integrated, BAMF.

Note: The dock that VZW sells has NEITHER integrated. You have to get the OEM sammy one linked above. According to that site, it should fit the VZW version.

Nova allows you to change icons. I also have adw ex bought it in the $.10 sale. havent tried it on the nexus yet. i kinda like the way the stock looks.

The only thing I don't really like about the stock launcher is it's pegged to the bottom. I normally have my homescreen like this, with most use icons in alphabetical order on the opposing screens with a link to the app drawer too.

Just installed it and holycrapballs! You can pick two friends and should your phone get stolen you use their phone to text your phone a password and a command so like "1212 stolen" and your lost/stolen phone locks up, sounds a funny "attention attention, this phone has been stolen!" Alarm. If you are rooted it automatically turns GPS on and can track your phone. You can then erase everything via SMS, or do a shit ton of other things all through SMS. It also says it will disable hard resets and programing mode while the stolen alert is on so they can reflash quickly to shut it up.

Or you can go stealth and have your phone send GPS location, CC all phone numbers going out and text messages in or out, and forward any incoming text or phone calls to the friends phone or any phone you want. For a free app this thing kicks ass. It also lets you hide it by picking a new name for it and a non-protection like icon. Also is said to not show up in app manager programs. Check it.

I flashed a new from again last night. I'm on a droid theory from of 4.0.3 called zygot. Its pretty bad ass its almost like cm uses the same launcher and has some cool mods built it. Also got the files for gta to download :megusta: its badass
