2 sauces (mild, sweet & bold)
2 lbs of meat (1lb pulled pork, 1lb beef brisket)

My boss gave them a rave review. He loved them. So, I was expecting nom.

They came out looking and smelling great. Unfortunately, I was surprised to find that they aren't merely cheese, beef, and bread...there's some pickle or mustard or something. It tasted like I went to Burger King and they didn't listen when I said I don't want the fucking condiments. The box doesn't indicate it, unless you really pay close attention and use your imagination to interpret the word "sauce".

Then I ate some baked potato soup followed by some mini powdered donuts I found in my nomz drawer.

TGI Friday's Anytime! Sliders American Classic Cheeseburger with Caramelized Sweet Onion Sauce Packet

When you open the box, a tray falls out that looks like maybe you're supposed to cook them on it. The tray is not mentioned in the instructions nor pictured in the photo on the box of cooking one. It is a square cardboard tray, about an inch tall and the width of the box, white on one side and cardboard-brown on the other (no silver side).

The box advises you to cook each one for 50 seconds by putting it in the microwave in its wrapper without opening it at all. It says to cook one at a time. It also says to check for 165°F with a meat thermometer...yeah, I'm really bringing a meat thermometer to work for my nuclear meals. This is the same box that has words like "b4" and "cuz" printed on it - certainly language that inspires me to take their advice on food safety. That's right, the box actually says "Allow Slider to rest for 1 minute b4 opening" and "CAREFUL, 'CUZ THEY WILL BE HOT!"

It says to put the sauce packet in hot water and very strongly says not to microwave it. Fine, the Keurig made some superheated lava-hot water for me. It warns that the sauce is extremely strong: "Caution: This flavor will PACK A PUNCH" and "WARNING: You are about to enter an EXTREME FLAVOR ZONE!!"

The burgers taste like many other modern frozen microwave burgers. They are fine if you don't mind that taste.

I was afraid there would be a bunch of onions in the sauce. I don't like whole onion pieces, but sufficiently ground into a powder or liquified is fine for me. The sauce is very smooth and saucy, no extreme onion flavor. It tastes similar to TGI Friday's Jack Daniels sauce, a little less bourbony and a little more oniony. It is not EXTREME if used in moderation. It goes very quickly from barely noticeable to overpowering. There's no in-between where it compliments the burger nicely.
