Movie: They Live

I caught a couple minutes of it on tv probably almost two decades ago, and it made an impression on me, then I forgot about it. I occasionally remember it, and decided to look it up. Googling it was pretty easy, I just googled for "guy finds sunglasses that let him see aliens" or something.

I think I'm going to watch it, in all its probably cheesy glory.

I don't know if I liked it. All I remember is a guy finding sungalsses in a trash can, and when he puts them on, half the people around him are revealed to be aliens. That's what made an impression on me.

I ought to watch it and see if i like it.

Does it have good cgi effects? I hate those that don't and look really fake. I wouldn't mind watching it if it has decent effects.

The movie was from like 1987 or so. CGI didn't exist, not as a movie acronym, nor as a web acronym.

Dunno, I have a vague memory of seeing a short piece of it, which may have been 20 seconds or may have been 20 minutes...it must have been pretty new because I think I was quite young.
