Love it. Loved my V10 and this is the same thing but with improvements all around (DAC improved, 2nd screen improved, manual camera settings improved, faster processor, fm radio, etc.)

Only negative I can think of (which doesn't apply yet) is that eventually it won't get updated like a Nexus/Pixel would and won't have much or any dev support. With that said, this phone in stock form is great, I don't have a reason to root so far.

yah...mf so slow and I tapped out the 16gb mem...I moved as many apps as it let me over to the sd card but is slooooowwww. Wife is on N3 and hers is starting to act a fool too.

if you and wifey need the s-pen, get note 5s since n7 = grenade

but compared to your current note you'll lose the sd slot, the removable battery, the ir blaster. fuck it, get V10 or V20 instead. Same as a note but still has the stuff I mentioned, just no s-pen.

I didn't do a trade in deal because I'm on TMo's JUMP plan. I'm still working on the earbud promo because I sent them a screenshot of the wrong page. Should have got a print out from TMo instead. My V10 promo went through no problem so this one should go smooth too now that I sent them the right page.

IR blaster = use your phone as a remote control. I forget if the Note2 had one but your wife's Note3 does. I use mine for TV, soundbar, tower fan, TV at soosh place, and projectors at work. Is handy.

If you want something newer that has an S-Pen and all those other features, the Note 4 is the best you'll get. The Note 5 has a sealed battery, no SD slot, no IR blaster.

If you give up the pen, you have more options:

- LG V10 - 64gb internal memory, bamf build quality, nice camera, maybe still too mash $ but I've seen some on CL for $250ish
- LG G4 - similar to the V10 with less internal memory and slightly smaller screen, a little cheaper
- Moto X Pure - no removable batt but has sd and big screen

Being on VZW limits you a little too, you can't buy random Huawei, Honor, OnePlus brand phones because VZW won't let you activate them on their network.

My wife loves her Note 5, is a really nice phone, but no sd, no removable battery, no blaster, glass back, etc. made me go LG

Has anyone ever tried to link multiple bluetooth speakers to one device at same time? This would be similar to a Sonos type multi-cast setup, so wondering if its possible.

They make hardware (https://smile.amazon.com/eranton-Por...tooth+splitter) that may help with the purpose, but wondering if there are any ways to do it without the splitter. Applications or similar? Some research state it may be a hardware/device limitation.

I think it's a phone hardware issue. Mine will let me connect to two devices but one is for media audio, one for call audio. It won't output the same audio to two devices.

I have seen speakers that support this though. I think UE makes some. You can link multiple speakers so your phone only connects to one and the speakers do the rest.
