I am only going to burn-in like 4-5 hours a day...for 8-10 days straight...not 50 hours straight...thats crazy and increases the chance of destroying the drivers.

We don't break-in any relays that we build. Just test them and ship out. When we fail-test stuff it never shows as making a difference.

Thats the thing...there is really no scientific approach to it because audiophiles have different hearing traits...there have been some research on it showing it helps, but the approval on the process depends on the person using the device.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's only possible to detect the difference on audiophile equipment, and only with good ears...so those of us using $20 earbuds couldn't tell a difference if we did or didn't burn-in.

Correct, break-in is mostly a process to get to a state where the drivers are designed to get after a certain point of playing, rather than simply letting the drivers work at a lower level for a longer period of time you quicken the process.

That's why on high-priced/e.g. really really nice headphones people do this process asap to help with music collaboration or whatever. My M6s were only $20, and people have stated there is a major difference in pre-burnin and post-burnin. Then again, only audiophiles who are actively involved in music production or listening can tell a difference.
