I guess originally it was a free/cheap stuff in exchange for Amazon reviews program, but with changes to Amazon's review rules it's now just free/cheap stuff. I put in as many reviews as Amazon will let me (they limit you to a few "non-verified" reviews per week) anyway, cherry-picking the ones I can honestly give 5 stars.
Deals go live at 10am, 2pm, and 8pm Eastern time. There's only one of each item available (most return the next day though). The good items are tough to get, gotta be fast on the draw. Also, it's easy to get banned as if you were abusing the system even if you're not, so make sure you use a dedicated clean portable browser and only do it from the same IP address every time and make sure nobody else is doing it from that IP.
Also, don't sign up with a disposable email address, the confirmation emails never arrive.
