50mpg Subaru? 3 cylinder VW?

US market Subarus are not very efficient...a small US market Subaru is good for like 25mpg. I just looked it up, their most efficient model is 29mpg highway.

US market VWs aren't any better, actually, although I have personal experience that they can be seriously hypermiled.

Really, US market anything...between market demands and legal requirements, you just can't build and sell a simple efficient vehicle in the US.

4 hours short of a full work week is 10%. If you're working 36 hours in 3 days, that's 12 hour days. KW...money saved on commute cost might be that 10%, then you've got two weekdays to do stuff...

My commute would be the same. I park ar school abd walk to work. Its that close. Id work 5 hours or so tues/wed and a full day Friday. Iz part time cao. Fts @ 12 hour work days.

Yup yup. At 12/hour that's 60. I get paid every two.weeks. so 120 less every pay check. Guess illl be jewing it pretty good this semester.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't throw either one out of my driveway for leaking coolant, but I would prefer a black convertible with hideaway headlights, RS/SS packages, and these wheels:

...actually I don't remember the center caps looking like that from when I was really really into 1st gens, but that's all I find on Google Images.

Also I prefer the integrated backup lights instead of the bumper-recessed ones.
