Our cats have been knocking off ornaments, but oddly none of them have been caught climbing the tree. This tree is so wide that I don't think it would fall from the smaller cats climbing it, though possibly the heavier ones could drop it. The width provides counterbalance. It hasn't fallen yet.

Put ornaments on mine last night, only casualty was from the gf dropping on a shattering it
We didn't put any within 2' of the bottom of the tree so hopefully she don't notice and try to climb.

One of my cats likes chewing on noisy plastic wrappers.
So, I've been blaming my wife for turning on the outside lights. Just now I caught our newest kitten doing it. He was playing on the cat tree that we have near the light switch...

Jack likes to lick plastic bags and wrappers. Not play with them or eat them, just lick and an occasional bite. Weirdo IMO Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk 2

My cat ate some plastic string stuff when she was about 8 months old. She wouldn't eat for like two days so took her to the vet. $150 worth of X-rays and a enema later, we rush home, live like 5 min from the vet,she make a run for it, straight under my bed and released what smelled like something dead, and ate like pig for the next two days
Moral of the story, kittaws shouldn't eat plastic Edit. fixed per cao

Also keep all pets away from string/twine. It can get wrapped up in their intestines and kill them. Know from experience.

Woke up to sounds of the tree bouncing around. Came out in the living room and see all four of Gus' paws hanging under the tree. He was hanging in the lights by his waist and got stuck. Because of his shenanigans, half of the lights stopped working.
Of course I can't just pull the lights off, I need to take off all the garland, ornaments, candy canes, etc. He needs to grow up and get lazy ASAP. Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk 2

Mine would go under the tree, take a dump and eat the tree light wires in half.
Had to put aluminum foil under the skirt so the noise would scare him away. |
