So I finally broke my replacement GNex... dropped it and now the camera force closes. I figured a connection came loose so I popped it open and everything is tight. So I'm thinking it's software related. Any ideas?

Have you tried 3rd party apps? Have you tried clearing camera's data and cache in Settings > Apps > Camera? If that doesn't work, you could always try flashing a new rom (if you're rooted/unlocked) or doing a factory reset or even a complete odin wipe of the whole bish. That should eliminate any software possibilities.

Kinda odd that dropping it would cause a software issue though :/

The S3 has a bigger/sexier screen and ships w/ ICS instead of GB.

But the Ion is probably cheaper and the 12mp camera sounds nice.

Haven't tried 3rd party yet. Have cleared data and cache. Want to back up my stuff before I factory reset. And I'm not rooted yet either. Tonight might be the night.

Upon closer inspection, I'm thinking it's hardware. Facebook camera force closes, another 3rd party camera force closes, and for some strange reason Google Talk force closes too. Looks like it's time to find another Gnex. Or file another claim.
