attached one of these to KCV:
Not gonna do it yet. Wanna give KCV one more day to run the cleaner through teh system car is starting to put out a lil heat for the first few seconds when you turn it on anyway, gonna run the hose on low pressure and pinch the part of the hose leading to engine to keep water from flowing both directions Video page Full screen |

I bought that kit but never got around to putting it on . I just do a quick easy drain-fill yearly instead of drain/flush/clean/flush/drain/fill every few years.

Mine was drained/refilled once when we fixed the leak, again because valve death.

bought this for KCV:
Is a window defroster. You just velcro it to the dashboard and turn da bish on. Works pretty good and it was under $20 If we had real winters in GA I would consider getting heat fixed pero fts $500-$800 for hots Looks pretty BAMF in KCV. Like police scanner or some shit only downside is I think I have to unplug it after each use to keep from draining KCV battery. I got it plugged into the 12V socket under the glove box and not the ashtray cigarette lighter. Our cars can power things through the 12V socket whether the car is on or not you fools think i can leave plugged in all the time? Its no big deal pero kinda annoying to always plug and unplug dat bish. Most sites say you can only drain battery if the device is actually powered on while you're away or if the car doesn't get driven everyday(i.e. letting the car sit for days or weeks) I drive everyday and the defroster has an off switch so obviously it will be turned off after the window is defrosted and after i get out of the car. thoughts? |

I'd be paranoid about a heater being plugged in 24/7 anyway. Dnw burned down CV.

Power port under glove box is live when car is off. Is cigarette lighter in ash tray only live when car is on? Would just plug in there, if fuse is sufficient. Seems like the easy solution.

My cup holder cig lighter has never worked. Precious owner must have spilled soda/blood/skeet/etc in there.
Should be easy enough to swap out, I'm just lazy and never use it anyway. Sent from my LG G2

In that case I would wire in another power port that is only on with the ignition but carries enough juice, or I would rewire one of the existing ones. It could be as easy as adding a relay in the circuit for the one it's plugged into now.
