My trick is to whack the monitor. Sometimes that helps.

Does the light turn green like it's supposed to come on, or does it stay yellow like it's not plugged in to a computer?

Updated dash pictures in the Dodge...

This was the dash bezel they sent me previously, I wanted it because of the silver upper but the lower dash parts were like a OD green. It was nasty looking.

This is the new dash bezel, I can deal with the wood grain as the rest of the silver looks better against the interior.

Yeah, I gave it a few good "taps" when nothing came up, then tried cables, then concluded it was down for the count. If I recall correctly the light stayed green.

Thanks Gary.

Mike - I have thought about painting it flame red, e.g. body color, but figured I would just live with it.

As of right now, this truck is just a temporary driver until I get out of school. Then I may keep it so I don't have a car payment, or who knows really. It depends on what happens out of grad school. As far as costs, I only have about $150 (bezel, dash kit, etc) in the install, considering its my dad's old DDX514. My old Alpine was starting to be finicky, and definitely need a radio for my drive to my internship this summer (12 hours from school 16 hours from home).

I have really thought about getting a 2005-2006 Ram 2500 Cummins (5.9)/Manual in a RCLB 4x4...then cutting the frame down, lines, etc to a RCSB.

But then again, I may end up just getting a CCSB something or other that I can by with cash. No Payments FTMFW!!!!
