I had that happen once. I don't remember how I got around it.
Some googling says you can try these:
If the second one wont let you delete them, you can try using OG filenames like in this post: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-hel...tm#post4898958

I'm having a weird problem with a few workstations at the school.
THe main 2, are running Vista Ultimate Anyhow, after CTL ALT DEL and logging on, it just brings up a black screen with the cursor FOREVER..then finally loads desktop. At first I thought it was DNS settings, b/c I was trying to decide which DNS server I wanted to use, my firewall, or one of my servers that was running DNS.. (btw, which do you recommend?) My machine did it for just a day or 2 when I manually changed the dns server settings, but all of that is back to its normal state on my network now. I can't figure out whats gong on?

I've never run into anything like that. I'd say ask Cao but he hasn't posted in quite a while

I guess whatever crack you used could have messed something up but idk, the update should work. Did you install all other updates first? Might help.
Also, see if MS let's you download the update from their site in an EXE or MSI or something. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

it stops halfway through and gives me error 80004005
i tried doing it manually and it still gives me the same error, i went into safe mode and tried it and again failed. I guess it's not a huge deal but it annoys the fuck out of me for some reason

About a year ago: Boss asks me to get VPN functionality working for iPhone/iPad.
Over the course of about a year: I spent countless hours reading tech support for our VPN and firewall, and asking my boss to test stuff on his iPhone. I got it working partially using some stuff that I feel is insecure. A month ago: Department got an iPad. We are taking turns with it. Over the course of the past few weeks: I've spent a few hours fiddling with iPad VPN and failing. A few minutes ago: I decided to check the app store. Sure enough there's a fucking app for that. Free. Took 30 seconds to install, 30 seconds to configure, and I was connected.

Boss says he tried the app back in the beginning and it didn't work, it gave him the same crap that's built-in which doesn't work with our VPN. Ok, I guess that esplains it.
