:ffuuuu: Left gB's windows open and it poured
Fucking left the windows open on and it poured like a motherfucker. Woke up at 4:45am to the sound of buckets of water coming down, immediately remembered , ran outside, fucking soaked inside.
WTF DO I DO?

It's going to be cool and rainy all week. No warm sunny days, not even a few minutes in which to work on it without new rain pouring in while I work.
I'm thinking I'll have to blot it up with towels as much as possible and leave my dehumidifier (if it even works, haven't used it in forever) in there overnight every night. That's gonna be a huge pain. How do steam cleaners and carpet shampooers dry upholstery/carpet after they wet it?

Well, it's not as bad as I thought. I soaked up what I could with towels and drove to work with the air blowing (no a/c but at least there was circulation). Everything is damp but not soaked. The floor isn't any worse than after a day of tracking lots of snow in, except it's like that in more area than it would be from snow.
Maybe I'll get lucky with some sunshine.

I know it's not cold out, but roll down your windows (if it's not raining) and turn the heat on max blowing on your feet. That will help dry that carpet.

You complained about the humidity, no? Whether humidity comes on its own or with rain, it seems like humidity's what you're asking for...

Might be time to invest in one.
I fucking hate them because they're so loud.

They definitely are good at sucking, and some can blow too if you stick your hose in the exit-only hole.
