Well, ended up picking up an S8+ on that deal. Figure I will try it and go from there. Can always sell it for what I have in it (~$400), even less if I sell the headphones (which is the plan).

Quick question for Android folks. Samsung is running a deal on S8/S8+ with a trade-in. Is it worthwhile to get the S8/S8+ or wait for S9/S9+? Still running a Nexus 6P.

I did a bit of splurging. Got some new headphones and a bluetooth speaker from an amazon deal, computer parts from Fry's (HGST NAS drive), and a ps4 controller/adapter for htpc/steam.
