I was in school in le 7th grade

School was on lockdown for a real reason, not just a drill.

A lot of downtown Atlanta was cleared out just in case so mi madre was home early.

Got home and every single channel had 9/11 news coverage. I'd never seen anything like that in my life. Was ready to piss on some terrorist fags.

Fuck osama bin fagen and his "respectful" muslim burial. Bitch ass fag didn't give a shit about the 3000 people he killed. Faggot shouldve been taken alive, forced to eat cocks, had his tiny balls chopped off and fried and let a little rat naw on em in a corner. Faggot should've been kept alive until the new tower was built and pushed off it so he could feel what the people felt who had to jump out of the twin towers. faggot should've been ass raped by a bunch of gay dudes. Faggot should've been placed at the bottom of a GIANT outhouse where anybody could piss or shit on him.

I was a freshman. At the time there was this morning show that was pretty damn jesty, always getting in trouble with the FCC for saying nasty (but lulz) stuff and cursing on accident. That morning they were all serious as we drove to school. That was before the second plane hit and they thought it was some sort of accident but knew that even as an accident, it was a huge tragedy. I had the feeling of "damn that shits crazy" and then walked into school, jested with friends, etc and when I got into class the second one had hit and everyone knew it wasn't an accident. We watched CNN in every class, I don't think we did any work at all. Most people left early.

I was working for my parents' company. I was out on the road. When I got back to the office they called me into the living room to see what was going on. I was ready to enlist that day. If it wasn't for wife and mom I probably would have...probably would've been good for me too.

6th grade. I was going into class and the tv was already on showing the first plane and a little bit later the 2nd plane. I was picked up somewhat early that day from school.

I was in the 8th grade at my lockers. We were in-between classes, so grabbing stuff for my next class.

When I got to class, only thing we did was watch the news and evens about what happened.

I was about 50 miles south of the Pentagon. At home. Worrying about the family and friends of mine that worked in DC. I was actually asleep when it all first started going down until I got a phone call from a friend who told me to wake up and turn on the TV.

I've been watching the documentaries on CBS.

It reminded me of how I was ready to join the military so I could help kick some ass.

When the documentary really got into the search & rescue / cleanup of the following days, the memories really started flooding in of feeling so strongly that I needed to go and help. Smart, strong, able bodied, I even probably had some equipment that I could have used.

7th grade. Came in from first recess, teacher was crying but wouldn't tell us why. Parents called and pulled their kids outta class. Mom came and picked me and sister up. Still didnt understand what was going on. Got home and flipped on the tv as the second plane went in. Thought I was watching some Bruce Willis/Action movie, flipped through a couple channels, and it sunk in what I was watching.

Watched tv with entire family, with the phone ringing off the hook for about 7 hours straight that day. Will live on with me forever.

my dumbass school just kept on going on with le day as if the biggest terrorist attack in history hadn't just happened

We did the same thing, only no one actually told us it even happened.

I was in ninth grade, (to paint a picture, it was a rural high school of maybe 300 kids total, none of us kids had cell phones that i remember, etc) and it really was business as usual. Looking back I don't remember anything being different, but I'm sure the teachers knew. Can't recall if anyone got pulled out of class (I highly doubt it) and such. I left school, walked down to the farm I was working at for a couple of hours, then got a ride home. Was probably 6-7pm and I was pretty much like :thafuck: when it was on the tv. Turns out the superintendent sent out an email saying to continue with the schoolday as planned. No one was allowed to have TVs on to watch it.

For srs. Rural, bible belt schools FTL sometimes.

Kinda crazy to think how more more we're all connected nowadays. Even 10 years ago there was only 1 cell provider around home (Alltel) and the people who did have phones had no idea what texting was. :rofl2: Kinda miss it actually.

I was in 5th grade. Me and my buddy down the street would ride our bikes to school every morning (school was in neighborhood), and I had just gotten to his house. Not even the moment I sit down and the first footage of the first plane comes on. We made it to school and the second plane hit while we were watching tv in class. The only one I remember leaving early was a girl whose father was on a biz trip and was in them at the time, he made it out alright. Pretty weird I remember wearing my 2001 old navy flag t shirt, seeing as I have a horrible memory.

I was at work being trained on a new computer program for the Power company. We were in a conference room when someone came running in and told us what happened. We bogged the companies internet because so many people began surfing the web to find out exactly what was happening.

George W. was also about 3 blocks away from my office at Emma Booker Elementary school. They rocketed out of SRQ airport with a crazy vertical ascent.

I was at school, just walked into my drivers ed class. Sophomore year I think. We watched it a while about the first plane then watched as the second plane hit. I remember feeling my stomach drop when the second plane hit. Crazy shit. That's all we did that day was watch the news. I remember watching them fall.

I also remember the okc bombing pretty well considering I was in like 3rd grade when that happened.

Junior year of high school entire school was taken to school theater for an announcement being told and seeing what was going was to different things o remember my class after the announcement was physics with coach waddington and just sitting their watching it in dis belief. I was sitting next to a girl named Eliza and I remember saying something along the lines of we are going remember sitting here for the rest of our lives. I knew it would impact every day life but I still can't believe how much that day changed our world.

I already posted this when Kork made the thread but: I was also a freshmang. On the ride in they were talking about it on the radio but they thought maybe it was an accident, sounded tragic but not as big. Didn't even know it was a full sized plane yet. Once I got into class we turned the tv on and realized it happened twice and that they were planes full of people and that it definitely wasnt an accident. Didn't do anything that day except watch CNN and go home early.
