Hartz® UltraGuard® Flea & Tick Powder for Cats
CAUTION : Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through skin. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reaction in some individuals. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.
If swallowed: Call a Poison Control Center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a Poison Control Center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
If on skin or clothing: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a Poison Control Center or doctor for treatment advice.
So, this stuff is pretty poisonous on skin contact or ingestion...and how do you use it?
1. Dust entire cat beginning at the head and working back.
2. Make sure that the powder gets down to the skin.
3. Take care to treat feat and legs.

...so you have to read the warnings, not the instructions, to find out that you need to wear a hazmat suit to apply this stuff to your cat; the directions never say to wear gloves (and you have to wash for 15-20 minutes after handling if you didn't). If that's not bad enough you're expected to apply this to your cat and specifically get it down to skin, at which point your cat will lick it.
