This is what happens when I get bored in Canada. Doing the layout for my new aquarium build. Still have more components to design.

Lots of initial work. Once it's established, it pretty much takes care of itself, minus water changes and minimal cleaning. Which you have to do for freshwater anyway.

As far as the money thing, yeah... after I lost about $400 in fish when I was stupid and didn't quarantine one, I pretty much gave up. Been considering getting back into it though.

I've been kind of wanting to, but I gotta take advantage of fact that I'm in the whole being out of debt > any hobbies mode right now. After that it's house time, then the salt setup comes back. I've still got pretty much everything, just have to go out and get more live rock and some livestock.

Until then, it's all about my goldfish. Yes, I'm one of those weirdos that keep goldfish.

Sounds like you got you priorities right then. Best to set up a salt tank only when you have a house, that way you dont have to move an established tank. Ive done it, and it sucks

Yeah. I helped my friend move his 55 gallon twice. It definitely sucked ass.
