chrome lugs and white letters would look kinda retro neat

stonehenge
12-14-2010, 01:44 AM
Dunno if Id like white letters but chrome nuts may be doable. A coworker said he might have some trim rings from an old malibu. If they're 16" I can have them. You guys know if they're universal?

shootermcgavin003

i think they are just like a hub cap

bad thing is hit a bump they come off and shit all the time

---------- Post added at 01:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:46 AM ----------

just noticed town car seats are 60 40 and have the opening arm rest with cup holders and shit. cheap swap idea.

stonehenge
12-14-2010, 03:43 AM
Yeah or I could even swap in some buckets and there are a few console options. Ill probably keep these seats if possible.

shootermcgavin003
12-14-2010, 03:49 AM
the town car seats fit perfect and match up perfect

also i saw on cv net where i guy converted his bench into buckets by trimming them down it looked perfect.

stonehenge
12-14-2010, 03:52 AM
I can see how that would be done. I wouldn't cut seats though. Swapping is easy. As long as the power controls on the door would work and I could get cheap grey ones, Id be happy.

But that wont be any time soon, there are more important things.

Cam, I found the same Cobra wheels you posted in the chat thread. Some guy in town wants $220 for them but one of them is trashed.

Up for sale are 4 17 by 9 inch chrome cobra
wheels in ok condition tires need to be replace
out of 4 wheels 3 are fine but one wheel is bad
shown on the pictures top left wheels. I have been
waiting long time for a good reason to get rid of
this wheels because I do not really like chrome that
much. Each wheel new cost around 170 each asking only 220 for the set
or 200 for the 3 that are good make a reasonable offer. Text only or email

thanks for looking

So I'm not sure if my wipers are screwy or if that is just how they are on a CV. When they are on, they stop quite a ways from the bottom of the window. It looks like they dont go down far enough. But when I turn them off, they lightly fall back down below the window. Make sense? Guess I could get a video. They aren't like that on any of our other cars. (Nizz, Dodge, Chevy, VW)

Well, yeah, want to put the OEM FoMoCo CD player in it. I found one for an 05 Grand Marquis for cheap fairly close, wondering about the part numbers for the OEM CV one.

I would go aftermarket, but a lot of times aftermarket ones are to deep and look like shit with a dash kit and all in a CV.

the later cvs and gm should use the same radio i know the cruisers have had the same radio since about 95

btw aftermarket fits fine ive put about 30 in cruisers its deep as hell back in the opening

stonehenge
01-02-2011, 04:40 AM
Yeah it is deep enough, you just need to route all the wires so the stereo can fit all the way back.

And some CVs have different connectors so be careful. I bought one harness that was supposed to fit and it didn't fit, had to go back and get a different one.

race2c
01-02-2011, 04:52 AM

and this

http://p71interceptor.com/radio/issford_radio_guide.pdf

Due to the part numbers stating that its only a 05 CV/MGM radio only. Does not work for anything backward or forward.

As far as stock radios, you have to be careful because the radios need to go like this. Where the front is like 1.5 DIN and the back is 1.0 DIN due to the ductwork.

DDs in the Ford trucks are suppose to be a pain? I got my friends to fit fairly easy. All I had to do was trim some stuff with my dremel.

shootermcgavin003
01-02-2011, 10:44 PM
the duct swap and all is hard if you have a 95-02 model but i had to put a blend door in a 99 f150 and thats 10x harder than a cv to get to the vent parts

01-02-2011, 11:40 PM
Yes, you can put a Double Din in CVs/MGMs but just looking to keep this one OEM right now. More or less because I do not want to have to deal with adapters for the wiring to make it work right.

The correct OEM CD player should hook right up as simple as plugging it in.

if its got the proper wiring some have some dont

oh and the only adapter you would need for any aftermarket radio is the 8 dollar harness
