I couldn't see very well so maybe there was an answer in the vids. I wanna know how much power they need to put in the air to run that small motor! Also, is it safe to be arround large enough quantitys of these wave to run... Say a tv or microwave, x box whatever we typicly use in our homes.

i think im wrong but the power is in the air itself. i dont think thats what you were asking for either but ill DIL with an answer :roflshrug:

So is that also why my old ghetto ass nokia phone from like 1995 with the light up antenna would light up even with the phone off and going under power lines.

No, they have the transmitter in the video.

Bass, your phone was lit up by standard EM induction, the same stuff that makes alternators, electric motors, solenoids, etc work. Any current going through any wire produces a magnetic field; the more concentrated, the more magnetism it produces. Any wire moving through a magnetic field produces electricity...again, depending on concentration of wires and the magnetic field.

I didn't have the patience to sit through the whole video but I wouldn't be surprised if they're using common EM induction too. It didn't look like a lot of energy was required for the demonstration...reminds me of a radiometer.

What is a radiometer, you ask? Also called a "light mill", it's a bulb with a few little flags that spin on a pin. The flags are black on one side and white on the other. Shine a light in and it starts spinning.
