I'm looking for a new truck and while searching craigslist i came across my truck I had when I was 16

I'm thinking about seeing if I can pick it up real cheap, I always wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of it.

yea i'd like to get it for $500 but that probably won't happen. And it needed a head gasket when I sold it 6 years ago.

Mine was a 1995 chevy single cab fullsize. I wish I had that puppy still. I was thinking of finding out where it went to maybe get it back. I traced it down to a salvage yard in Cal, that it got fixed and went back out on the road. All I have to do is call DMV in Cali and I can find it, just haven't done that yet :)

you don't want to see my first truck.
it was a 1971 F-100 LWB 2wd that my dad gave me on my 15th birthday and told me if I wanted a vehicle to drive I had 1 year to get it running. I put a 5.0 out of a 92 Mustang GT in it, a new C4 tranny, and tinted the windows. Top speed was 60, it had a rust hole in the floor and it would go anywhere a 4x4 would. it was the best vehicle I ever had.

Why with a Mustang GT motor was its max speed 60? Too-low gears in the C4?

I have no idea! It had a 9" with 3.50's IIRC. The timing was all messed up, I could never get it set right. But it was only a 3spd so ya know.
I'll have to find a photo of it and scan it.

94 chev rclb with a 4.3 and 700r. drove it for awhile then sold it to gramps for like $700 to buy my yukon off my dad for the $400 he paid for it. then put some $300 wheels and tires on the yukon.

i would post pics of my first truck but i cant do it from my work computer. it was a 97 s10 2wd with 6in of lift and 31's. v6 with the 5 speed. was an amazing truck and now i wish i would have kept it. oh well you live and you learn and then you get a fullsize :)
