That one wasn't gross to me at all, maybe because I've had it done 3 times. :blah: One is starting to come back so I may need to do it again. I guess mah toes have high tolerance though because they injected all the numbing shit and then were like "does this hurt?" *poke* "hell yeah it hurts" "oh.. well we can't give you anymore, this may hurt a bit" :blah: lol I jest when they use the needle nose pliers to rip it out.

I usually do but it just keeps coming back. The doctor has some shit he can put up on there so it doesn't grow back. I've been hesitant but people tell me that you can't even tell it isn't there because the toe is still shaped the same. I dunno, seems weird to me :jester:

rofl its not half, thats where the toenail SHOULD stop instead of going all up in the skin and hurting like hell. It eventually grows back and hurts again. I wonder if the doc can put a lil of that stuff on the one side :hmm: if he takes the whole nail out.. :uhoh: weird skin-toe :jester:
i remember i smashed my fingernail. fucker was hanging by a thread in teh front of my finger. i cant grow a decent nail like my other fingers now

I didn't watch the video...frosting?
I get bad ingrown toenails. Here's my procedure:
1. Begin a cut, parallel to where its edge should naturally be but centered more, as close to the quick as possible. Do not extend the cut as far back as possible.
2. Grab the sliver with needlenose and peel up, using the cut as a beginning for continuing it until it's torn off under the cuticle and skin.
3. Bleed.
Of course, I spend a bunch of time uselessly fiddling with it first, prying it up out of the skin to give myself a few seconds of relief, packing some Neosporin in like I'm greasing a wheel bearing, etc...

You must use the correct tools!
Scissors: Dollar store folding sewing scissors are perfect for this. They have exactly the right point that can get in there without stabbing your flesh, they're of the just right stiffness, and they're easy to clean/disinfect. The fingerholes are uncomfortable, though.

Needlenose pliers: Important: Must be good quality. None of this crap where the end doesn't match up right or where the teeth stop before the end and it doesn't close completely.
