Open up 3 Excel spreadsheets in Excel 2007. You now have FOUR buttons on your taskbar and in your Alt+Tab list. That would be acceptable, but then when you click on any of them, they bring up the same window. You can't tile them or have one on each of your two screens. Yet, if you click the application's X instead of the document's X, it still only closes the document (even though the document has its own X).

They've combined all the disadvantages of MDI and SDI, and it's a pain in the ass. It acts like SDI but displays like MDI.
