It hangs around for sometime. Stuff is hosted on mediafire, rapidshare, megauload. Stuff does expire, and sometimes stuff is hard to find, but its so much easier and faster to get what you want there then dealing with torrent bullsit.

What can you tell me about sharing content without exposing myself to risk? I'm pretty paranoid these days.

Rapidshare/Megaupload/Zshare/MediaFire/etc are very very low risk. Torrents can be tracked, P2P can be tracked, but when you download from the above sites, you are getting from their servers and they don't share information. Torrents/P2P are easy to get caught because anyone who wants to see who is downloading something just has to share it and see who grabs it. Know what I mean? I've never had a problem with the above sites but I got caught once via torrents :gunner:

no it was letting me download two at a time, but when they were all downloaded and I tried to exract it, winrar told me it was a damaged file so I guess it doesn't work using that.

Thanks, I hope you find what you are looking for. It is sometimes difficult to find the music/movies you want. It just takes a little searching for them.

Not that I know of. I am going to be updated the site and that hide hack soon. With the new one, all you have to do is post, and then you see the hidden content.

I'm more worried about uploading. They almost certainly log IPs, and if they get subpoenaed they'll have to hand over those logs. I'm also worried about watermarked/personally identified mp3s/wmas from download services.

The registration email at Albumfire can take a while to get to people. Sometimes it doesnt show up at all, or gets automatically sent to your spam folder. But requiring email verification has done wonders to keep out spam bots. If anyone else has this problem PM there, I have the same username.

Its good to get some new users over there, tell your friends about the site.

Just registered, I used to be big into uploading on a few other sites. Kinda got out of it though. Maybe I'll start back up.

And the risk only comes when you start uploading, But even then it's a slim chance that anything will happen to you. I think how you get caught is when you start uploading a ton of stuff, and your ISP gets curious about what you're doing. I'm pretty sure they just tell you to cut it out though.

Yeah there is a way to do that, find a post that you've done click your name to go to your profile and click "Find All Thanked Threads" and they should appear.

It does and doesn't. You can upload something that is already up, no prob. The more options for users the better..
