Whos good with iPods?

My brother bricked his a while back. Its an iTouch 2G. I have fucked with it for countless hours and have made little headway. Its does a constant recovery mode loop. Tried DFU mode and even tried pwned DFU blackscreen mode. I've tried iREB to kick it out of the loop to no avail, iRecovery pissed my computer off. Lost a few drivers until I uninstalled it. Also have tinyumbrella installed. Tried a few different firmwares and nothing. Get either a 3194 error or a 2005 error and sometimes even a 9 error depending on what route I go when updating.

I did find out something useful. The iPod itself randomly had some code on the screen and said greenpois0n initializing. Brother said that he's ever tried to jailbreak it. Just randomly fucked up one day. I downloaded greenpois0n and it says the jailbreak is successful, but its still stuck in the loop. It will not boot up for anything.


HALP.


And if this post seems all over the place and poorly written, its because I'm on hour 6 of fucking with this piece of shit today.

keeler your fgt brother tried to jailbreak it...........your only fix it to jailbreak it set it dfu pawnable state with what ever program load ultra snow and back it up with pawned back up. you have the fix recovery mode choice when you do that.

it would take hours to explain it read up on how to put a ipod in pawnable dfu mode. then you will back it up with a custom firmware via ultra snow. what model and firmware is on that touch before you do anything.

And I have no idea what firmware. Its a 2G MC.

sounds like your bro tried to jailbreak it with the wrong firmware for it. what is the error numbers.

I've gotten 3194, 2005, 1600, 9, and 20 last night when trying to downgrade to like 2.1.1.

I have turned off anti-virus software, turned off firewall, tried all the usb ports on my laptop, tried different computers, completely uninstalled iTunes and all apple software and reinstalled. Nothing.

Running as admin. I'm successfully changing the host file no problem. I even tried using Tinyumbrella with the same result.

oh you you need ireb or ibooty to make it boot right.........the ipad baseband was in the optional part of the unlocks however looks like theres a new snowbreeze that i havent used it.

i think you need the exact firmware it was gp with to restore it. like i said i fixed a phone like this but it was 6 months ago.
